At Lower Lights Christian Health Center, we know there are many reasons why people donate their time and resources, and whatever reason brought you to this page, we thank you for taking the time to learn more about how you can get involved.

LLCHC strives to be a good steward of all the resources we have been given. We are seeing more and more people coming to us for help. The donation of your time and talent will allow us to stretch our resources even further to reach more people with the hope for a better future.

Here are some ways you can be involved with LLCHC:

One Day Volunteer Opportunities

• Saturday work days
  • Bring a group
  • Spend all day working at the health center
  • Cleaning, light maintenance, outdoor work
• Door-to-door marketing
  • Spread word about the health center to the neighborhoods in Franklinton
  • Hand out information about the health center
• Mass mailings
  • Stuffing and labeling envelopes, and preparing mailings that go out several times a year
• Special Events
  • Run 4 Spaghetti - Coming August 13, 2011 - various tasks, including help with registration, drink stations, directing runners on the course, set up and tear down
  • Thank You Banquet - Coming this  October - various tasks, including decorating, serving breakfast, cleaning up

Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities

• Spiritual Care
  • Listen, talk and pray with patients at the health center
  • 21 hours of training required for laypersons (a training class is available through the health center)
  • 3 hour time slots, once or twice per week
• Front office support
  • Phone calls, filing, scanning medical charts, phones, and various front office tasks
• Maintenance
  • Ongoing help with the upkeep of our facility
• Medical
  • Patient Assistance Applications/Nursing support
• Development
  • Event Committee
  • Board Committees
  • Special Event Volunteers
